Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Labcorp is seeking a Per Diem/PRN Clinical Lab Technician to join our Monogram lab in South San Francisco! Work Schedule: This is a casual/per diem position, hours will be as needed. Start and end times will vary on Thursday-Sunday, 6:00am- 2:30pm. Address: 345 Oyster Point Boulevard, South San Francisco, CA Job Responsibilities Perform routine laboratory duties within the Molecular Front End / PreAnalytical areas including: Specimen receiving and data entry in LIS Operation of instrumentation Recording of equipment daily readings, function checks and preventative maintenance Completion of QA Documents Responsible for sample preparation steps including Aliquoting, Beading, Lysing as well as Molecular Extraction techniques Perform inventory control Practice aseptic / sterile techniques May participate in creating Standard Operating Procedures Comply with all safety/infection control policies and procedures Communicate with outside departments including Molecular Lab, Research and Development, Client Services and Pharma Project Managers Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more years of lab experience 1 year or more years experience with molecular biology techniques 1 year or more years experience working in a clinical diagnostics laboratory Additional Job Standards Understanding and familiarity with aseptic techniques and good specimen handling Experience with SOPs, QA and QC standards Strong computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent organizational skills and strong oral and written communication skills Able to work in collaborative, flexible work environment Able to work flexible hours, during training Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Pay Range: $28.39 - $35.00 per hour All job offers will bebased on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicabledegrees/certifications,as well as internal equity and market data.
