Production Systems Team Lead Food & Beverage Manufacturing

Overview Location: Norcross, GA Schedule: 3rd Shift | 11:00 pm – 7:00 am | Sunday–Thursday Why this role? Core responsibilities Supervise, train, and develop production and material handling staff; provide guidance and indirect supervision to shift maintenance support Champion safety: enforce safe work practices, run audits, correct hazards, and conduct safety/job training Translate work orders and product specifications into clear, actionable direction Assign labor and allocate resources to meet the production schedule and service commitments Spot-check quality and ensure adherence to specifications and quality procedures Troubleshoot process, equipment, and material issues; lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions Recommend and implement improvements to methods, equipment performance, product quality, and waste reduction Coach performance, motivate the team, and interpret company rules and policies Own shift documentation: production reports, work orders, safety/sanitation and quality records, finished goods tickets Maintain timekeeping records and submit to Plant HR; coordinate staffing with HR Communicate effectively with incoming/outgoing leaders; step in to perform frontline tasks when needed Apply Lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen principles daily Customer and compliance focus Follow run-order specifications for each product Comply with GMP and all food safety requirements Engage in value-added activities that enhance products and processes Qualifications we’re looking for Bachelor’s degree preferred (Industrial Management a plus) 5+ years in production supervision within manufacturing Proficiency in Microsoft Office and aptitude for learning new systems Self-directed problem solver with a track record of rapid, durable solutions Team-oriented leader who builds strong relationships across levels Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to employees, customers, and suppliers Technical strengths Leadership / People Management Bachelor\'s Degree Labor Management Systems Knowledge Continuous Improvement Food and Beverage Manufacturing Supervisory Experience Kaizen Lean Manufacturing Principles Production Planning & Scheduling Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Additional projects and duties as assigned are part of this role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
