Senior Systems Engineer

Senior Systems Engineer
Lead the system design activities for displays and precision ag applications. In addition, you will:
- Define and document system requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, design and lead the evaluation of technical options.
- Provide engineering direction concerning the integration of electronic sub-systems into John Deere machines and other OEM equipment.
- Be the system technical expert on assigned projects, analyze field data and customer feedback to identify and quantify performance or quality gaps and lead them to closure.
- Be responsible for all systems engineering deliverables, such as FMEAs, ECMs, VNSM database updates, etc.
What Skills You Need:
- 5 or more years of product engineering experience.
- 2 or more years of demonstrated technical leadership capability.
- Experience collaborating successfully with engineers of other disciplines and working effectively with other functional groups.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work quickly, and ability to adapt easily in a dynamic, diverse team environment.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Advanced degree in engineering discipline.
- A certificate in systems engineering.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles.
- Experience with Agile software development practices.
- Experience with agriculture or construction vehicles.
- Experience with vehicle electrical systems, GPS based guidance systems, telematics and/or in-field communications systems.
- Experience with vehicle electrical communication systems, ISO11783-based CAN networks, Ethernet.
- Experience with precision agriculture applications.
Education (or equivalent work experience): Bachelor's degree in an engineering, science or technology related discipline.
Skills and Certifications:
- Product engineering experience.
- Technical leadership experience.
- Systems engineering experience.
Compensation: Base salary - $80,000 to $95,000. Full-time benefits - full relocation assistance available, yes. Bonus eligible, yes. Overtime eligible, no. Interview travel reimbursed, no.
