Speech Language Pathologist / SLP

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc

Speech Language Pathologist / SLP

Unlock the Power of Communication in the Scenic Beauty of Idaho Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us

Overview

Ever thought your next career move could truly transform lives? As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Idaho's breathtaking locales, your role transcends beyond mere treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. You will be at the forefront of empowering individuals, enhancing connections, and nurturing self-esteem in a diverse population from children mastering their first words to older adults regaining their independence.

This position offers a rare chance to work with people spanning various age groups, uniquely integrated within a setting that expertly intertwines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient duties. Be it the intricate nuances of pediatric speech development, adult neurological communication disorders, or comprehensive geriatric cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you will discover fulfillment, support, and the flexibility you deserve.

Description

  • Conduct detailed evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing observational techniques and standardized assessments.
  • Create individualized treatment plans aimed at addressing both immediate goals and long-term needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
  • Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions aimed at improving language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to craft integrated care strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families to ensure therapeutic progress continues beyond clinical sessions.
  • Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless transitions in care throughout each patient's treatment path.
  • Document therapy sessions promptly and accurately in compliance with state laws as well as organizational guidelines.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and development through continuing education opportunities and peer discussions.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred eligibility for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) by ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary within 30 days post-employment.

Skills

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment approaches tailored across all ages, with solid comprehension of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Adept at modifying therapy techniques to cater to various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Competency in navigating electronic medical records and documentation requirements.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Flexible work scheduling that supports work-life balance and diverse cases.
  • Opportunities to specialize in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
  • Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Support for continuing education and professional growth.
  • A collaborative environment concentrated on quality care and continuous learning.

A Career That Resonates

In this role, you won't just practice speech therapy; you will engage in a mission that transforms lives, promotes communication, and cultivates joy through the shared human experience of connection.

Join a team where clinicians support each other like family in a culture that champions cooperation over competition. You'll meet patients with stories just waiting to be told, and we trust you to be the one to help narrate them.

Why You Will Fall in Love with Living and Working Here

The charm of Idaho captivates those seeking a vibrant lifestyle that beautifully merges nature with culture. Imagine living amidst stunning mountains, serene lakes, and sprawling green valleys where adventure awaits at every turn. This state is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise, from hiking the famed trails of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area to exploring the tranquility of the Boise River.

Community events create a lively atmosphere from farmers markets brimming with fresh produce to art festivals showcasing local talent. Unique dining experiences will please your palate, offering everything from farm-to-table options to food trucks with eclectic menus. Here, you'll benefit from a lifestyle steeped in outdoor recreation, a favorable economic climate, and an engaged community dedicated to growth and connection.

For both new professionals and seasoned clinicians hankering for a change, this area provides the perfect backdrop for meaningful personal and professional development.

Who We Are Searching For

We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist who is not just outcome-focused but deeply empathetic. We need someone who can envision a future filled with self-expression for a sometimes-silent child, someone who can see unyielding determination in the slurred speech of a stroke survivor.

Your specialization might be in pediatrics seeking to branch into adult services or a neuro-focused therapist looking to embrace early intervention methods.

No matter your area of expertise, if you are ready to provide compassionate service and lead with skill, we would love to welcome you to our family.

Let's Create Meaningful Connections Together

If you believe that speech reflects so much more than sound and therapy encompasses more than tasks if you place value on trust before tackling goals and laughter as much as language this could be the next important chapter in your professional journey.

Join us in a community that values the art of conversation, connection, and the courage it takes to reclaim one's voice. Apply today and help others find theirs through your expertise and compassion.
