School Occupational Therapist | Lewes, Delaware

We’re seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide exceptional care and support for children throughout the remainder of the current academic year. This opportunity welcomes both local professionals and those interested in a travel assignment, offering the chance to bring your expertise to a rewarding, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct occupational therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in group settings
  • Evaluating student abilities, identifying barriers, and developing individualized plans to foster participation and independence
  • Collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies within classroom routines
  • Maintaining thorough documentation to ensure compliance with school-based requirements and best practices
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and review
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to grow your skills and support school initiatives

Desired qualifications:

  • Current Delaware Occupational Therapist license and certification required
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Deep passion for enhancing students’ independence, participation, and confidence
  • Adaptability and creativity in delivering therapy amid varying student needs
