Quality Assurance Supervisor

Responsibilities In compliance with company policies, make recommendations regarding the hiring and dismissal of personnel in the department. Ensure necessary follow-up on employees based on attendance or other HR/work-related issues. Ensure ongoing training of all department employees related to specific job, safety and environment, ISO and SQF quality, and ongoing personnel development. Update personnel files for attendance and training according to procedures. Uphold and enforce all policies in the Personnel Policy Manual. Ensure any communication methods needed in addition to methods included in ISO and SQF Quality System are implemented and used to ensure proper communication between shifts. Establish a work environment of empowerment, commitment and teamwork in the department. Hold department meetings on a regular basis to ensure a high general information level, review quality issues, etc. Ensure each shift is staffed with the appropriate number of employees within the limit of the approved budget. Assist in internal training when requested. Update and maintain personal knowledge. Qualifications Previous quality experience is required. Previous supervisory experience is required. Knowledge of SQF and ISO procedures. Injection molding experience preferred. Requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection of small defects and parts, operating machines, using measurement devices, and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes. Starting salary is expected to be between $70,000 and $85,000. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan and Sales Incentive Plan and includes medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
