Job Description
The Legal Billing Specialist is responsible for managing the firm’s billing process from start to finish, ensuring that invoices for investigative services are accurate, timely, properly documented, and professionally presented.
This position works closely with investigators, attorneys, clients, and the state's indigent funds departments to ensure that billable time, investigative expenses, mileage, travel, records, and other services are accurately captured and invoiced. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with confidential information, and understands the importance of accuracy when billing attorneys and law firms.
The Legal Billing Specialist should have a “get it done” attitude , strong follow-through, excellent communication skills, and the ability to identify discrepancies before an invoice reaches the client.
