Responsibilities Interpret complex engineering plans and survey layouts to ensure precise installation of conduit, ground boxes, and utility infrastructure. Direct daily field activities including trenching, potholing, and concrete finishing while maintaining strict grade control. Enforce rigorous safety standards, including OSHA compliance, trench safety, and traffic control procedures, through daily hazard assessments. Manage site resources, including material staging, equipment allocation, and tool maintenance to optimize crew productivity. Utilize digital project management software to track labor, production metrics, and material usage for accurate reporting. Mentor and develop crew members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth. Coordinate with inspectors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to resolve field challenges and ensure project milestones are met. Qualifications Required Skills 5+ years of experience in underground utility construction with a proven track record of leadership. Expertise in reading civil and electrical blueprints, survey data, and project specifications. Strong working knowledge of OSHA, MUTCD, and regional infrastructure installation standards. Proficiency in using digital timekeeping and production tracking systems. Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate company vehicles. OSHA 10 certification. Preferred Skills OSHA 30 certification and specialized training in trench excavation or confined space entry. Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
