Hohenschild Welders Supply , a leading local full‑service welding supply distributor, is seeking an Industrial Fill Plant Operator to join our team in Kansas City, MO. If you have a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience working in an industrial plant environment, Hohenschild wants to hear from you! Experience the best of both worlds working for a local business with large‑company backing! Minimum qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. We will provide training but prefer at least one year of experience in a fill plant. Forklift experience. Ability to read Safety Data Sheets. Solid math skills; add, subtract, multiply, divide and compute ratios and percentages. Ability to manipulate cylinders weighing up to 150 lbs. Essential duties/responsibilities: Fills cylinders including high pressure cylinders according to Standard Operating Procedures. Prepares cylinders for filling by confirming test date, replacing shoulder labels and performing ring and odor tests. Determines whether retesting and/or repairs are required. Completes and maintains quality control documentation as per DOT, FDA, OSHA and Hohenschild standards. Puts away stock. Other duties as assigned.
