Snowflake Platform Admin Duration: 6+ Months Rate: $60-70/hr on Vendor W2- MAX- Depends on experience. Location: Hybrid- Onsite Chicago, Illinois (primary) Atlanta, GA (secondary) Minneapolis, MN considered San Francisco, CA may be considered for exceptional candidates Candidate Profile Manager specifically noted they are NOT looking for: Pure Snowflake developers Candidates focused only on ETL work Candidates limited to Snowflake administration Ideal candidates will have: Enterprise platform engineering mindset Infrastructure and architecture experience Ability to build scalable frameworks for enterprise adoption Experience working with large cloud/data ecosystems Additional Notes Manager prefers targeted submissions directly through vendor relationship before opening requisition publicly Strong urgency around finding the right candidate quickly Potential for additional future openings across the manager’s other platform teams once this role is filled Hiring Manager Overview Hiring manager leads multiple platform engineering teams within client’s Data Architecture organization (“Data Arc”). Team responsibilities include: Enterprise Snowflake platform engineering Internal open-source data platforms Azure-based enterprise data lake initiatives Databricks connector platform development Enterprise Landing Zone / Data Lake support Large-scale data products including Customer 360, Financial Crimes, and DTR Current environment includes: Snowflake Azure AWS Databricks Spark Airflow Scala Python Terraform Open-source data engineering stack The immediate priority is standing up Snowflake on Azure as an enterprise offering. Project Overview Client is launching an enterprise Snowflake platform on Azure. Snowflake already exists within AWS environments at the bank, but this team will own and scale the Azure implementation and eventually support broader enterprise adoption. The initial focus is: Standing up Snowflake on Azure Supporting MVP use cases Building scalable enterprise architecture Creating reusable deployment patterns Enabling future enterprise tenant onboarding This is considered a high-urgency initiative with aggressive timelines.
