Key Responsibilities
- Staff Management: Recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising housekeeping personnel.
- Quality Control: Conducting thorough inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Inventory Control: Maintaining and ordering cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
- Operational Management: Developing cleaning procedures, managing budgets, and controlling costs.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring all staff adhere to safety regulations, such as OSHA protocols.
- Guest Service: Resolving guest complaints, addressing special requests, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Key Daily Tasks
- Reviewing room occupancy reports and scheduling staff accordingly.
- Conducting morning briefings and inspecting cleaning carts.
- Performing inspections of check-out rooms and VIP rooms.
- Coordinating with the maintenance team regarding room repairs and maintenance.
Head housekeepers are vital for maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in hotels, resorts, and large private households.
