Data Analyst

Salary: $58,773 - 70,780 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in data analytics, business analytics, statistics, data science, information systems, healthcare administration, business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
• We require at least three years of relevant experience in data analysis, performance reporting, business intelligence, decision support, or a similar area.
• We require proficiency building dashboards and visualizations in Power BI or a comparable enterprise analytics platform; experience with DAX and governed semantic models is strongly preferred.
• We require working proficiency in SQL for querying, investigation, reconciliation, and validation.
• We require advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze, organize, and explain complex quantitative information.
• We require experience gathering and documenting reporting requirements, translating KPI definitions into specifications, and supporting user acceptance testing and report validation.
• We require strong written, verbal, facilitation, data-storytelling, and customer-service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We require strong attention to detail, sound judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while safeguarding confidential and sensitive information.
• We prefer experience in healthcare, organ procurement, transplantation, clinical operations, or another regulated, mission-critical environment.
• We prefer experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, cloud analytics platforms, statistical tools, Python, or R.
• We prefer experience with enterprise KPI programs, balanced scorecards, data governance, metric catalogs, reporting certification, or performance-improvement initiatives.
• We prefer experience with forecasting, predictive analytics, or the responsible use of AI-assisted analytics tools.
• We prefer a relevant Microsoft Power BI or analytics certification.

• We develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations using approved data sources and governed semantic models.
• We create report mock-ups and organize information for executive, operational, clinical, and functional audiences.
• We analyze trends, variances, patterns, anomalies, segments, and performance drivers.
• We conduct descriptive, diagnostic, and, when appropriate, predictive analyses to help leaders understand what is happening, why it may be happening, and where further investigation or action is needed.
• We partner with the Performance Team and stakeholders to document business questions, approved KPI definitions, formulas, targets, dimensions, filters, reporting frequency, security needs, source-system context, and acceptance criteria.
• We translate those needs into actionable specifications for reporting and technical development.
• We reconcile reporting outputs to approved source information, test calculations and filters, coordinate user acceptance testing, investigate discrepancies, and work with the Data and Analytics Engineer and data owners to resolve defects or clarify business rules.
• We develop user guidance, report descriptions, metric documentation, and training materials.
• We demonstrate reporting solutions, gather feedback, monitor usage and usability, and recommend improvements that increase adoption and decision value.
• We participate in data governance, project, performance, and departmental meetings.
• We complete assigned action items and keep current on analytics methods, reporting tools, data privacy, and emerging capabilities, including responsible AI-assisted analytics.

• We maintain confidentiality of all employee and donor/recipient information.
• We perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
• We provide backup support for select administrative reporting activities during staff absences.
• We serve on organizational committees, workgroups, or task forces as assigned.

We are CORE, and this Data Analyst role works under the supervision of the Chief Information and Supply Chain Officer in close partnership with the Chief Performance Officer and the Performance Team.
