About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Legal to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organization. The successful candidate will be a strategic legal leader with a focus on executive and strategic leadership, AI, product, and innovation, privacy, compliance, and risk management, employment and workforce matters, corporate governance, intellectual property, commercial support, legal operations, and outside counsel management. This role demands a thoughtful and pragmatic legal executive who can influence business outcomes, build scalable programs, and guide the responsible use of technology in the future of work. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school, active membership in a US state bar, and a proven track record of advising executive teams on strategic legal and business matters within technology, SaaS, data, or software businesses. Key responsibilities for the Vice President, Legal include serving as a trusted legal advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, leading the legal and compliance strategy related to AI and emerging technologies, and overseeing global privacy programs. The role also involves advising on employment law matters, leading corporate governance activities, and developing and maintaining the company's intellectual property strategy. The candidate should have strong knowledge of privacy, data governance, technology law, and commercial legal issues, and experience in implementing legal technology solutions. The position requires excellent judgment, communication skills, and the ability to manage and operationalize legal knowledge to support the company's growth. Preferred qualifications include experience with AI governance, global privacy laws, and international data-transfer requirements, as well as a background in supporting corporate transactions and post-merger integration efforts.
