LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in the Triad area seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst for a contract opportunity. This position is ideal for a payroll professional who combines strong analytical skills with hands-on payroll processing experience and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The Payroll Analyst will play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, supporting compliance initiatives, and providing reporting and analysis to improve payroll operations. This posting is informed by payroll analyst and payroll specialist guidance found in internal payroll-related resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Process and audit payroll transactions, including earnings, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and assist with general ledger balancing activities.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries.
• Support payroll tax reporting and compliance requirements.
• Generate recurring and ad hoc payroll reports for management and HR teams.
• Review payroll processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reporting.
• Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and Finance teams on payroll-related projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, payroll taxes, and wage and hour compliance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis.
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, UKG/Kronos, Paycom, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
