Overview
Registered Nurse, First Assist (RNFA) in a hospital setting in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Start date: 08/24/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $2,843 to $2,996 per week. Guaranteed hours: None. Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Travel - Temporary Assignment with on-call as needed and float to the main operating room. This role supports the perioperative team in an operative/perioperative setting, focusing on the First Assist role.

Responsibilities
- Provide RN First Assistant coverage in the operative/perioperative setting, assisting the surgeon during procedures and maintaining sterile technique
- Manage intraoperative exposure, tissue handling, instrument exchange, and suction/hemostasis under the surgeon’s supervision
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies; participate in instrument counts and surgical documentation
- Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure patient safety, proper positioning, and hemodynamic stability; float to the main OR as required
- Adhere to CNOR standards and institutional policies; document intraoperative events accurately

Requirements
- MA state RN license (conditional MA license accepted per compliance notes)
- CNOR certification; ACLS and BLS required
- Minimum 3 years of RN First Assistant (RNFA) experience
- COVID-19 vaccination with current booster; no exemptions
- SSN and DOB required for onboarding; ability to work in an operative/perioperative setting and float to the main OR
