Lead Spa Concierge

Join the Sonnenalp Hotel team as a full-time, year round Lead Spa Concierge and help create relaxing, memorable experiences for our guests from the moment they arrive.


Wage: $24.00-$26.00 /hour, ($4.00 -$6.00/hour more with tips and commission)


Primary Purpose of Position
To assist the Spa Director in providing leadership and supervision of the Spa Concierge as well as all staff
in the daily Spa operations, including: retail, membership, Spa Caf, fitness/wellness , and
therapists/aestheticians in the absence of their Lead.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform basic Spa Concierge duties, including: guest reservations, assisting guests in the Spa facilities, performing regular refreshes of spa facilities, administering the Oxygen Bar, cash and credit card sales, and all other Spa Concierge duties as needed
• Maintain complete knowledge of spa and hotel operations, including events and specials
• Oversee the daily operations of the Spa, including: guest reservations, inventory of retail and professional products, monitoring proper booking standards, cleanliness of spa area, payroll through Paychex, staff scheduling, organizing and maintaining the retail boutique, the Spa caf and Oxygen bar
• Assist in hiring staff and with disciplinary actions which are within the Sonnenalp standards
• Aid in executing weekly training sessions to ensure a high level of guest service and satisfaction
• Help in ordering, inventory, and stocking of the retail boutique; including seeking new products and services which adhere to the Spa culture
• Respond to guest requests and complaints in an appropriate manner
• Ensure all LHW standards are met consistently
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings with the Spa Leadership team
• Schedule and facilitate quarterly Spa Concierge department meetings
• Monitor Spa related HotSOS issues, including following up on issues as needed and closing the issues in HotSOS
• Act as spa representative on the hotel Safety or Training Committee requires one meeting per month
• Assist Spa Director with booking all spa groups, at times being the main point of contact for the group coordinators
• Assist Spa Director with various other projects and tasks as needed

• High School Diploma
• Resort and/or spa experience preferred
• Experience with computer software systems, including but not limited to: Spa Soft, Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook), HMS, HotSOS

• Effective communicator with the ability to work in a team-environment
• Proficient in English language (oral and written)
• Customer service and sales experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to any new changes in policies or procedures with minimal issues
• Self-initiator with well-rounded problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Maintain a high level of guest service and exceed all guests' expectations when possible
• Knowledge of Hotel policies and procedures, outlets and specials

• Full-time: Must work 36-40 hours per week, on a varying schedule ranging from 7am until 8pm
• Part-time: Work up to 30 hours per week, on a varying schedule ranging from 7am until 8pm
• Ability to lift 20 lbs
