Principal Software Engineer, ArsenalOS (Forge Platform)

ABOUT THE TEAM

• We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead architectural and strategic initiatives for our ArsenalOS Forge platform. You'll be pivotal in evolving Forge's capabilities, driving integration and scalability, and maturing its architecture for long-term success. Your work will directly impact how effectively ArsenalOS supports critical business processes and innovation.

ABOUT THE JOB

• As a member of the internal tools team, you will be integral in building out Forge, Anduril’s custom supply chain, manufacturing, and deployment mission execution software. Your decisions will significantly impact the company today and in the future. We seek a developer who quickly understands distributed systems and creates features that drive bottom-line value for the business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Architect and integrate Forge into a cohesive experience bringing together product and platform.


• Evolve and mature Forge's data modeling strategies across multiple experience modalities.


• Drive continuous improvement in Forge’s architecture, minimizing technical debt while enhancing platform leverage for the future.


• Lead development of robust CI/CD, QA, and integration testing frameworks across various Forge modules.


• Champion Forge as a versatile platform, ensuring extensibility beyond traditional MES tooling.


• Standardize and unify Forge’s diverse APIs under a cohesive, scalable platform API strategy.


• Own platform observability, product analytics frameworks, and infrastructure.


• Facilitate cross-organizational alignment on domain management, centralized event streams, schema registries, and audit logging.


• Enhance Forge’s user management, approvals, and permissions systems

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with significant expertise in platform development and architecture.


• Strong track record architecting complex, scalable platforms involving distributed systems and microservices.


• Deep proficiency in data modeling and API design, especially in complex system integrations.


• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).


• Exceptional strategic problem-solving capabilities, adept at navigating complex technical trade-offs.


• Strong leadership and collaboration skills, capable of aligning cross-functional teams.


• First-principles thinking and decision-making approach.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or industrial software platforms.


• Background in leading large-scale CI/CD and testing frameworks.


• Familiarity with identity and access management integrations.


• Proven ability in developing observability frameworks and product analytics solutions.


• Experience implementing centralized event streaming, schema registries, and audit logging.

US Salary Range

$196,000 - $294,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
