1539 Potomac Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742, USA Job Description Family Farm and Home is a family owned and operated company based out of Michigan. Our first stores opened April 2002. We currently operate 71 retail locations across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, offering a wide variety of products in tools, hardware, automotive, pet, work and casual clothing, footwear, farm supplies, horse and livestock feed, bird food, lawn and garden, and alternative heating. As a Pet Groomer at Family Farm and Home, you will be responsible for bathing, brushing, clipping, and grooming pets in accordance with company standards. You will also handle customer calls, schedule appointments, and perform maintenance duties in the grooming department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Promote Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values. Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements. Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management. Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness and safety standards. Answer customer calls and schedule appointments in a timely and polite manner. Perform all requested functions of grooming. Properly fill out invoices for payment. Maintain accurate customer records. Maintain safe and clean equipment as well as a neat and orderly work area. Solicits customers to sign up for Family Farm and Home Programs, i.e. loyalty program, extended warranties, financing and item of the month. Answer customers’ questions and provide information on procedures and policies. Participate in team meetings as scheduled. Contributes to a positive working environment for all team members. All other duties as assigned by store management or company official. Requirements Pet Groomer must have the ability to communicate and interact successfully with customers and co-workers, work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and evenings, efficiently handle all pets being groomed in a safe and humane manner, demonstrate a commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction, and be a strong team player while capable of working independently with minimal supervision. A minimum of 2 years of grooming experience is required.
