Sales Engineer

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Sales/Applications Engineer in the Columbia MD area.

Requirements:
Education: BS Engineering Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic. MBA in Business Administration / Marketing is a plus.
Language: Advanced English. Italian is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 0 - 5 years of Sales/Applications Engineer in Automation Industry (Automotive, Industrial, Aviation, etc).
Competences Technical:
• Knowledge of Robotic/Industrial machinery required.
• Knowledge of Magnetic, Coil Winding and Motors. • Drawings interpretation (windinf parts is mandatory).
• Technical quotes explanation.
• Ability to find opportunities for new business in a customer visits.
• Knowledge in winding market in Mexico. •
Should be able to handle technical task independently and with Sales Department (USA and Italy).
Analytics:
• Communication skills and problem solving.
• High level of learning.

Work Ethic:
• High level of service attitude.
• Self-starter with a "Can Do" attitude.

Skills
Administrative:
• Office (Microsoft, Word, Power Point).
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Contact management software (Lotus Note, ACT or similar).
• Negotiation and sales techniques.
• Business processes knowledge.
• Business English.
• Willing to travel.
• Visa.

Principal assignments:
1. Capital Equipment Sales.
2. Find potential sales leads (both new and from existing contact lists).
3. Evaluate customer applications for suitability with our equipment.
4. Make sales calls to potential customers.
5. Make sales presentations to interested customers.
6. Calculate cycle times using spreadsheet templates.
7. Produce budgetary quotations for customers.
8. Develop and submit final quotations.
