What You'll Do

• Prepare and servemeals according to standardized recipes and dietary requirements
• Ensure meals arepresented attractively with appropriate garnishes
• Assist with menuplanning alongside the Culinary Manager
• Support specialevents and catering within the facility
• Ensure proper foodstorage, labeling, and inventory management
• Lead and guidekitchen and dining staff in the absence of the Culinary Manager
• Train new staff onkitchen operations, safety, and equipment use
• Maintaincleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in all kitchen areas
• Monitor foodquality, consistency, and safety during preparation
• Follow procedures toreduce waste, control costs, and ensure efficient kitchen operations
• Treat residents withdignity and respect, promoting resident rights and a positive dining experience

What You'll Need

• High school diplomaor GED
• Minimum of 2 yearsof culinary experience in healthcare, restaurant, or short-order cooking
• Knowledge of foodpreparation, sanitation, and safe handling practices
• Ability to followstandardized recipes, portion control, and quality standards
• Basic math skillsfor calculating food quantities and minimizing waste
• Ability to safelyoperate commercial kitchen equipment
• Strongcommunication, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Ability to workflexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability tostand, bend, lift, and move safely throughout a kitchen shift
