Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Job Description

Primary Position Responsibility: As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) you will be responsible for implementation of direct one-on-one interventions for children with Autism to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, as well as reduce problematic behaviors. You will work in the home, community, and school settings. RBT's will be supervised to implement programs developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Reports to: BCBA

Classification: Non-exempt

Supervises: None

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of Direct 1:1 programming/interventions
  • Implementation of treatment plan goals developed by BCBA
  • Implementation of Behavior Intervention Plan developed by BCBA
  • Follow the treatment plan goals and interventions developed by the BCBA
  • Accurately collect and input behavior data
  • Collaborate with BCBA to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment
  • Function within boundaries and guidelines of RBT role when providing treatment
  • Apply feedback and training given by BCBA
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma
  • Experience with children with autism or other disabilities
  • Positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and accept feedback
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to drive to various assigned client locations throughout shift
  • Must maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). New hires will have 60 days to complete certification.
