Auto/Diesel Mechanic

Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards. This role involves running diagnostics on vehicles and collaborating closely with other team members to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and buses.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation, and oil changes.
• Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop.
• Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs.
• Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks.
• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.

Essential Skills

• Automotive repair skills.
• Knowledge of auto mechanics, diesel engines, and heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Experience in diagnostic testing.
• 1-2 years of experience working on cars, buses, or trucks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Cummins Engine experience preferred.
• CDL License is a plus, but not required.

Work Environment

The mechanic shop is an indoor facility, which can get cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The work culture is laid-back, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and mutual support. Employees work alongside lead mechanics. The dress code includes steel-toed boots and a company-provided uniform. The working hours are Monday through Friday, from 6:00am to 2:30pm.
