The firm is interested in attorneys with a strong defense litigation background who are eager to learn and develop a practice focused on toxic tort matters.The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with 2 days per week in the office.What You Can ExpectWork on sophisticated litigation matters for local and national clientsDevelop expertise in toxic tort and complex civil litigationTake meaningful responsibility for your own caseloadGain experience handling matters through all stages of litigationWork alongside experienced attorneys in a highly regarded national practiceEnjoy a flexible hybrid work environmentKey ResponsibilitiesManage assigned litigation matters and case deadlinesRepresent clients on local and national accounts throughout CaliforniaConduct and defend depositionsPrepare witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trialReview, analyze, and respond to discoveryDraft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other litigation documentsConduct legal research and prepare written analysisPrepare and electronically file court documentsAssist with trial strategy, preparation, and supportCommunicate effectively with opposing counsel and other partiesMaintain accurate and timely billing and case recordsQualifications2+ years of defense litigation experienceActive license to practice law in CaliforniaJ.D. from an accredited law schoolDemonstrated experience with depositions and motion practiceExperience taking plaintiff and/or expert depositionsStrong legal research and writing abilitiesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple assignments and deadlinesHighly organized with strong attention to detailComfortable working independently and as part of a teamStrong interest in developing a career in toxic tort litigationToxic tort experience is not required.
