Lockheed Martin is seeking a technical Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for a position based in Arlington, TX to support the THAAD production program. The position will require working flexible hours and travel out of the assigned geographical area to support suppliers across the United States. The THAAD program team provides a challenging environment that stresses continuous improvement and proactive mindset in driving down risk to the product and customer.

Basic Qualifications

-Ability to travel ~25% of the time -STEM Degree at the Bachelor level or above -Ability to obtain a secret clearance -An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of SQE Processes, and related Performance Metrics. -Root cause analysis investigation experience and corrective/preventative action selection and execution -Must be able to identify and document supplier's quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective action. -Must have knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes and auditing/surveying capabilities. -Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions. -Extensive experience in disposition of nonconforming products. -Demonstrated experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement. -Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. -Understanding contract requirements flowdown to suppliers

Job Description

What You Will Be Doing Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Identification of process variation, sources of waste and nonconformance's, and data analysis techniques to create innovative solutions to complex supply chain issues. • Assurance that LM THAAD Supplier Quality activities are effective through supporting product line validations as outlined by AS9102, accurate measurement and characterization of resultant performance parameters, and risk management. • Provide systemic support for issue resolution that involves true root cause, full containment, and corrective/preventive actions. • Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs, and program management activities. • Drive supplier's failure/diagnosis and strong grasp of Material Review Board (MRB) activities. • Develop technical solutions to complex problems and provide liaison support related to quality engineering matters. • Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier on a daily basis. • Review documentation related to supplier manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer. • Excel within a multifunctional supplier Integrated Product Teams with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging.
