Senior Accountant

Job Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of core general accounting functions while working in a collaborative, hybrid environment based in London, OH. Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close
- Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with coordination of internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting schedules
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support accurate financial data
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of general accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems)
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial modeling
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment
- CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus
