Senior Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of core general accounting functions while working in a collaborative, hybrid environment based in London, OH.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close
• Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and procedures
• Assist with coordination of internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting schedules
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support accurate financial data
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of general accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems)
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial modeling
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus
