Position Summary: The Fabrication Manager is responsible for daily activities in edge metal to include but not limited to receiving stock for inventory, managing inventory, fabrication on CNC brake, oversee workforce, and shipping final product to all customers.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Unloading of trucks with materials to be received by Blue River Metal. Check for accuracy of materials and update Trello when received.
• Maintain accurate records to provide internal customers with the most updated inventory of what is in BRM stock.
• Attend and/or conduct weekly schedule meetings. Plan, build, and carry out weekly production schedule in nuIT. This will need to be done weekly with input from Blue River Metal and Stonebrook Directors. 
• Discuss with your direct reports, the weekly schedule and production goals for the week.
• Training direct reports on all equipment including how to safely start up, program, operate, and shut down equipment at the end of the day. This also includes maintenance of the machines. All direct reports should be cross trained on all equipment used at BRM.
• Build and follow a maintenance schedule for machines with the BRM Director.
• Oversee and maintain shop and outside lot for cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Fabrication of collector boxes, scuppers, chimney caps, flat lock metal wall panels, and any other items that may be requested by internal and external customers.
• Constant training on the programming and operation of CNC Brakes so all direct reports can fully operate equipment in your absence.
• Schedule overtime and weekend work, making sure we have material and orders ready before the workday starts to assure there is no down time of production. Everyone should know exactly what they are to be working on the day before the scheduled workday.
• Responsible for the labeling of all flat stock pallets, sheared metal ready for production, and fabricated products waiting to be shipped or picked up by BRM customers.
• Help conduct weekly BRM shop safety meetings and documentation.
