Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in the South Memphis area. This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional with industrial maintenance experience who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

Successful candidates will train on 1st shift for approximately one month (potentially sooner based on performance) before moving permanently to 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production lines, motors, AC inverters, drives, and related equipment.
• Build, wire, and troubleshoot electrical control panels.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble production equipment and components.
• Rebuild and maintain industrial valves and associated systems.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Repair gearboxes, motors, controls, and production equipment as needed.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Support production operations by responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
• Utilize a variety of maintenance skills, including welding and fabrication when necessary.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with:
  • Hydraulics
  • Pneumatics
  • Motors and controls
  • Gearboxes
  • Electrical circuits
• Ability to disassemble, repair, and rebuild industrial equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Preferred

• Experience in a high-speed packaging or manufacturing environment.
• PLC troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge.
• Electrical maintenance experience.
• Welding and fabrication skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
