Business Systems Analyst

Job Description We are seeking an experienced AML reporting and analytics professional for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting the US AML Transformation, Delivery, and Insights team. This role will lead AML metrics, reporting, data governance, dashboard development, and analytics delivery across AML Risk Assessment, transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, screening, and executive/regulatory reporting needs. Location & Employment Type Chicago, IL – Hybrid position. Contract to Hire. Compensation $60.00–$60.00/hr. Triage production issues, defects, data quality concerns, and system/process questions. Lead team to perform data validation, reconciliation, documentation, and testing for system changes and enhancements. Investigate SAS Viya system functionality and challenge status‑quo of system capabilities. Support the development of test plan, strategies, test cases, and test execution. Connect and lead Technology, Data, TM Rules, Reporting Teams on major projects and initiatives. Serve as SME for SAS Viya system functionality, workflows, and processes and recommend or build solutions in SAS Viya to support AML. Support the development of process maps, interaction models and workflows for systems and users. Contribute documentation and related job aids for data validation and transformation‑related solutions. Partner with AML, Technology, Reporting, Data Governance, and business teams to support upgrades, patches, reporting, and workflow improvements. Automate reports and processes to improve efficiency, controls, and transparency. Work onsite 5 days per week in downtown Chicago; remote day optional after training is complete. Qualifications 7+ years of relevant experience as a business systems analyst, business data analyst, etc., primarily in financial services. Hands‑on experience with AML platforms, specifically SAS Viya and LexisNexis Bridger or similar (Actimize, Fircosoft). Strong SQL/data extraction, data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and documentation skills. Experience designing and building applications within SAS AML / SAS Viya. Experience with data and data mining tools including SAS Viya, SAS Studio, Visual Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, Python, and SharePoint. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and develop test plans and cases. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead cross‑functional teams. Business systems analysis, data management, and data governance knowledge.
