This full-time position is perfect for an individual who is passionate about empowering clients to achieve their personal growth and mental well-being while maintaining a flexible work-life balance.

About the Organization

Bright Hope Psychotherapy Center is a leading private outpatient mental health practice based in Austin, Texas. We are committed to delivering high-quality mental health services to diverse populations, including individuals of all ages—from children to adults—and families in our community. Our mission is to provide compassionate, client-centered care in the least restrictive environment possible. We employ a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including psychopharmacological treatments, clinical research, and individual counseling, to enhance the well-being of our clientele.

Work Environment

This role offers the convenience of a fully remote work environment, leveraging telehealth technology to conduct sessions with clients. Our work setting is designed to foster collaboration and support amongst our team, allowing clinicians to share best practices, leadership strategies, and office resources via platforms such as PIMSY for electronic documentation and RMS systems. Working hours for this position are from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, promoting an ideal work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse caseload of clients by establishing rapport and maintaining an open line of communication, while upholding professional ethics and boundaries in all interactions.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to evaluate their progress, address any challenges in their treatment, and prepare for potential discharge when goals are met.
  • Develop and implement tailored, person-centered treatment plans, ensuring they remain focused on the client's unique needs and goals. Regularly assess and adjust these plans based on ongoing feedback and clinical evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and progress notes for each client in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with clients from various backgrounds, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing different mental health challenges. Our emphasis on providing accessible and effective mental health services means that you will play a crucial role in addressing a variety of psychological and emotional issues through individual psychotherapy sessions.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field is required.
  • Must possess a valid and unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in Texas.
  • At least one year of post-graduate experience in a clinical outpatient setting is essential, demonstrating a strong background in counseling.
  • Comfort with digital tools and software, including excel spreadsheets, electronic health record systems, and email applications for effective communication and documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families, with familiarity in trauma-informed care practices.
  • Knowledge of various therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
