Job Description
Perform quantity takeoffs, measure & quantify materials, labor, and equipment needed directly from architectural drawings and blueprints.
Quantitative calculations of structural tracking, light or heavy-gauge steel studs, insulation variations, drywall panels, and ceiling grid assemblies.
Manage bids and RFPs, itemize trade-specific scopes, distribute Request for Proposals, and level subcontractor quotes to find competitive pricing.
Build conceptual estimates, develop preliminary budgets and cost models early in the design phase, even with limited or partial documentation.
Cross-Functional collaboration, coordinate closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to discuss value engineering and cost-saving alternatives.
Mastery of digital takeoff and estimating software - On-Screen Takeoff (OST).
