Qualifications & Experience Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license Certified School Nurse certification required Experience working in K-12 school environments highly desirable Proficiency in medication administration and documentation Familiarity with vision and hearing screenings Comfortable facilitating and attending IEP meetings, particularly for medically fragile students Strong communication and organizational skills Flexibility to float across multiple school sites within the district Responsibilities Deliver routine and emergency nursing care to students in grades K-12 Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate health records Conduct vision and hearing screenings for student populations Collaborate with educators, families, and care teams during IEP meetings for students with medical needs Provide first aid, health assessments, and care instructions to students and staff Promote a safe, healthy learning environment in each assigned location Travel between schools as scheduled to address nursing needs district-wide Compensation Compensation for this position ranges from $22.00 to $65.00.
