This full-time, contract opportunity focuses on providing valuable speech therapy services to a diverse K-12 population, with a primary emphasis on elementary school students. You’ll work across six schools within a district near Burnsville, NC, managing a caseload of 40-50 students and enjoying the autonomy to create your own schedule. The assignment aligns with the academic calendar, running from August 17th through May 28th.

Qualifications:

• Active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certification as required for school-based practice
• Experience within K-12 school settings, with a focus on elementary students preferred
• Ability to independently manage, assess, and serve a diverse caseload
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and implement individualized therapy plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with state and school district guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to maximize student development and success
• Provide direct and consultative therapy services across elementary and K-12 students
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and student-centered planning
• Stay current with best practices and professional standards in school-based speech therapy
