Travel RN - Postpartum

This position requires the monitoring of vital signs and administering medications. Responsibilities include managing perineal care and educating parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding.

Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience in Postpartum/Mom Baby License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS & NRP Must-Have: 1 year of current acute care hospital Postpartum/Mom Baby experience.

The unit typically consists of 23 beds and has approximately 80 staff members. On the night shift, the typical staff includes 1 charge nurse and 9-10 RNs on the floor with additional RNs in the nursery. Patient ratios are estimated to be 3 or 4:1. Candidates must be flexible with their schedule and adaptable to new situations. The ideal candidate should possess a compassionate demeanor, patience, and a team-oriented mindset. Communication with staff and providers is prioritized.
