If you love making people feel welcome and keeping a dining room flowing, this is the role for you. Pay: $17.00 per hour Schedule: Part-time or Full-time. Evenings and weekends required. ABOUT LUIGI'S Luigi's isn't just another restaurant. It's where home-style Italian cooking meets real Queens hospitality. Families celebrate here, regulars know us by name, and our front desk sets the tone the moment guests walk in. ABOUT THE ROLE This is more than "answer the phone and smile." You'll own the door: greeting guests, managing the waitlist, running the floor with the servers, and keeping the vibe warm and smooth from open to close. WHAT YOU'LL DO Greet every guest with genuine warmth and set clear expectations for seating times Manage reservations, the waitlist, and the seating chart for steady flow Coordinate with servers and the bar to pace the room Answer phones, take basic info for large parties, and handle to-go pickup handoffs Keep the host stand tidy and the entryway welcoming WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Host or front-of-house experience in a busy restaurant (preferred), but we'll train the right person Clear communicator, calm under pressure, fast on your feet Comfortable with phones, simple reservation tools, and POS basics Weekend and evening availability, and a reliable way to get to work Friendly, professional, team-first attitude WHY CHOOSE LUIGI'S Consistent hours.
