Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Duration: As per assignment

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to provide front-office and back-office clinical support in a patient-focused healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Greet, register, and room patients.
Obtain and document vital signs.
Schedule patient appointments.
Answer phones and assist with patient communication.
Perform blood draws and venipuncture/phlebotomy.
Administer vaccines within scope of practice.
Perform EKG testing as needed.
Perform Point-of-Care (POC) testing.
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
Assist providers and clinical staff with patient care.
Support efficient patient flow and daily clinic operations.
Participate in health education and outreach activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience , excluding externship experience.
Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required.
EMR experience required.
Front-office and back-office experience.
Recent patient rooming experience.
Recent vital signs experience.
Recent appointment scheduling experience.
Strong communication and computer skills.
Strong attention to detail.
BLS or CPR required.
Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare staff.

Preferred Skills

Medical Assistant Certification.
EKG testing.
Point-of-Care Testing.
Athena EMR.
Experience in a patient-focused healthcare environment.
Health education and outreach experience.
