Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Psychiatric Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/06/2026 Duration: 25 weeks 24 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, flexible Employment Type: Local Contract Position: Registered Nurse - Psych Location: Bridgeport, CT Shift: 2nd (4-12:30 AM) and 3rd shift (12:15 AM - 8:15 AM) Duration: 26 weeks, 24 hrs/week Job Deatils: 24 hours/ week with opportunity to pick up shifts Needed every Friday, Saturday and Sunday Looking for coverage for 2nd (4-12:30 AM) and 3rd shift (12:15 AM - 8:15 AM) – please indicate candidate preference with bid 6 month assignment Administer treatment under medical guidance from a physician, psychiatrist, or other authorized prescriber Works independently and collaboratively with healthcare team; conduct risk assessments, and develop a comprehensive care plan; Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team in the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of individuals mental health care plans; Wound care; Ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; reports on mental health status of individuals to the healthcare team; Documents nursing interventions on medical records; distributes and maintains records of controlled drugs and ensures their security; Makes decisions in routine cases; Utilizes deescalation techniques and therapeutic communication to maintain a safe milieu, prepare nursing plans and related individual care issues directed towards an awareness and understanding of health/mental health issues; Responds to emergencies and may physically restrain individuals; Maintains availability of medications and supplies; Provide invaluable emotional support to patients and their families, ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment; May formulate and implement nursing care plans; May participate and or conduct training; May delegate nursing tasks consistent with established protocols; May participate in psychotherapeutic and rehabilitation interventions; May serve as Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional TB_RN Talent Burst Job ID 26-28461.
