Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Description: ####RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR***13 to 26 week contracts***FLOATING REQUIRED AS NEEDED; potential to float EVERY SHIFT.

Required Skills / Certs / Exp:

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Year Experience Minimum
• Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers
• Skills: Telemetry AND PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience. Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring required. Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience required. Accessing ports, Blood Product Administration, central Line/care management, PICC line management, Cardiac drip-titrate Diltiazem and Amiodarone, Post cardiac cath experience
• Certs: ACLS

Job Details:

• Ratios: 1:6-7
• Shift: 12 Hour NIGHTS; *36 Hours ONLY Can be Offered! -13-26 weeks accepted***RTO: 7 DAYS MAX for AYA AUTO OFFER*** Float Requirement: YES REQUIRED AS NEEDED; potential to float EVERY SHIFT.
• Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts (equates to every other weekend)
• Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
• Patient Diagnoses: Congestive Heart Failure; Arrhythmias; Post cardiac Cath
• Special Procedures / Unit Details: Unit monitors cardiac patients. Cardiac Drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, etc). Sheaths Pulls, TR Bands, Femstop
• Unit Systems (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
• Scheduling Type: Self, Per the Unit Needs
• Unit Orientation: 24 hours
• Scrubs: Not Provided. Navy
• Internal Notes ****MUST Pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty.**NM must interview prior to finalizing the offer

• Special Equipment : ***Must have a teamwork approach and meet Novant behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff. Must be able to adhere to Call off policy -STRONGLY ENFORCED.

Submission Details:

• All units are utilizing Clinical for direct profile review
• Former Novant/New Hanover employees (PERM/PRN/EP) must wait 12 months before applying. Disclosure required (with hospital name/dates employed) at submission; facility approval needed.
• Current travel Per Diem clinicians aren't eligible for travel contracts they must choose one. Include status and intent in the submission.
• Local candidates ( 50 miles) : Lower rate applies.
• RTO: Up to 7 days auto approved (no holidays). Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. No RTO during first week. All RTO must be pre-approved. Cannot request additional RTO after signing.
• NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal.
• Floating: Candidates must be open to floating within/near facility per job description.
• Travel pairs: Allowed (must be on different units and disclosed).
• Charting: See job description.
• Modules: Pre-start modules are non-billable, time spent on modules should be margined separately from orientation hours.
• Acute Care: ~8-10 hours of modules
• Non-Acute: ~4-5 hours of modules
• Must be completed pre-start and annually (varies by specialty)
