Position: Outpatient Clinic RN

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 AM - 05:00 PM)


Location: Seattle, WA

Job Description

This role is within a clinical nursing setting focused on providing care in an outpatient clinic environment. The position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends, on-call duty, or holiday requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs.
• Manage telephone triage and address patient inquiries.
• Assist with medication refills and FMLA requests.
• Provide authorization support for imaging and schedule procedures such as colonoscopies and office visits.
• Perform high-level disinfection and maintain cleanliness of exam rooms.
• Assist with minor office procedures and exams.
• Deliver patient education and guidance.
• Respond to MyChart messages and cover the RN Triage line.
• Make post-operative calls and provide surgical teaching.
• Collaborate with physician colleagues to deliver comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in ambulatory nursing care or primary care.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with electronic charting systems preferred.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.

Additional Information

The role offers the potential for temp-to-hire opportunities based on performance. Staff will primarily work at the First Hill Campus but may occasionally be required to float to other nearby facilities as needed. Transportation assistance will be provided for travel between sites.

This position requires candidates to commit to working three of the five major holidays.

Travel RN candidates are welcomed, and first-time travelers are accepted. The team collaborates closely, with RNs paired with physicians to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
