Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in a dynamic Endoscopy Lab located in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is crucial in supporting the Gastroenterology and Pulmonology service lines, including patients undergoing colorectal and bariatric surgery procedures.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with a comprehensive range of endoscopic procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care from pre-procedure preparation through post-procedure recovery. This is a travel assignment; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assessment, and monitoring during various endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, EUS, and Bronchoscopies.
• Prepare procedure rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available and in working order.
• Administer medications and conscious sedation as per physician orders and facility protocols, monitoring patient response.
• Educate patients and families on pre- and post-procedure care instructions and expectations.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in an Endoscopy or GI Lab setting.
• Ability to travel; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this assignment.

Shift Details

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
• Days per week: 5.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks.
• Start Date: October 12, 2026.
• End Date: January 9, 2027.
• Holiday Requirements: Must work two (2) major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one (1) minor holiday (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve) during the assignment.

Licensing Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or a compact state license with Georgia privileges.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
