Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will own the full employee lifecycle, influence product roadmaps, and define how a best-in-class team operates using pragmatic, AI-native workflows. What you will do Own the full employee lifecycle for a significant portion of the engineering team, including hiring senior ICs, coaching, and performance management. Collaborate deeply with Product and Design leadership to shape the technical roadmap and balance technical debt with rapid feature delivery. Lead the team in adopting AI-native engineering practices, ensuring high architectural integrity while leveraging modern tools to solve complex data problems. The ideal candidate 2–5+ years of dedicated engineering management experience at high-growth startups (Series A–D) with a strong foundation as a former high-performing IC. Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams, with a preference for management as a craft rather than being a tech lead manager.
