Design/Drafting Technician

Gleeson Constructors & Engineers, L.L.C. specializes in the design and construction of food processing facilities, ready-to-eat facilities, freezers, cold storage facilities, and distribution centers throughout the United States. We are actively seeking a Drafting Technician to work in our Sioux City, Iowa, office. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Architects to prepare plans and details with CAD and Revit software related to construction projects Draft conceptual layouts for proposals and project estimates Responds to the needs and requests of customers, Project Managers, company field personnel, and subcontractors Manage cloud-based collaboration tools including BIM360 and Procore Coordination of all project related drawings for architectural, civil, structural, fire protection, mechanical, refrigeration, and electrical Create 3-D rendering and models of buildings Performs other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS Ability to read, interpret, and prepare construction drawings A basic understanding of construction and construction details Effective time management skills to meet challenging deadlines Strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and other related software Post offer, pre-employment drug testing and E-verification are required BENEFITS Comprehensive life, health, dental, vision, and disability insurance program 401(k) plan with employer match Safety incentive program Paid vacation Wellness reimbursement program Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans. #J-18808-Ljbffr
