C++ Embedded EngineerCandidate must have strong C/C++ skills, is energetic, creative and team oriented to work on latest SATCOM modem and networking technologies. The individual will be part of an engineering team that develops embedded networking and application software using latest tool chains from Atlassian in an agile software development environment. The position is based in our Germantown, Maryland office.Software design, development, integration and support activitiesActively participate in software development and automated unit testingComplete development tasks within agreed time boxAnalyze and resolve software issuesC++ Development experience (1-7 years, but more senior candidates are welcome to apply)Experience with scripting, ideally using Python or ShellExperience in multi-threaded application development and inter-process communicationExperience with networking protocols, messaging libraries, socket programmingCandidate must be a US Citizen and hold an active Top Secret (TS) clearanceExperience with Git for source controlExperience with web development using technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, jQuery and Node.JSExperience of agile development methodology, especially Scrum and Atlassian tools like Jira 1872 Consulting
