Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join a 99-bed acute care hospital serving North Central Florida. The hospital features a 24-hour emergency department, a 10-bed intensive care unit, a cardiac catheterization laboratory, and inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.

The ER RN will provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care, assess and monitor patients, administer treatments, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess patients upon arrival and monitor symptoms, vital signs, and changes in clinical condition.

- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and established protocols.

- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

- Review and interpret diagnostic results to support clinical assessment and treatment.

- Respond to emergencies and changing patient conditions while maintaining patient safety.

- Provide emotional support, education, and guidance to patients and their families.

- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.

- Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and ongoing care needs accurately.

- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures and assist providers as needed.

- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.

- Follow infection prevention, quality assurance, and hospital safety standards.

- Delegate and supervise appropriate nursing tasks and support personnel.

Required Qualifications

- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent qualifying nursing education.

- Active Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license.

- At least one year of acute care Emergency Room nursing experience.

- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment.

- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 30 days of employment.

- Ability to work evening or night shifts, including rotating weekends.

License note: Multistate license holders relocating to Florida must obtain a Florida license within 60 days of relocation, as specified in the job requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary based on experience and qualifications.

- Night shift differential: $4.25 per hour.

- Weekend differential: $2.00 per hour.
