Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized tests and observational methodology.
• Design customized treatment strategies targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Partner closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to establish integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about strategies for supportive practice outside of therapy sessions.
• Occasionally support inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a seamless transition throughout the care continuum.
• Document treatments meticulously in compliance with all state, federal, and institutional guidelines.
• Engage in continued professional development by keeping abreast of advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for candidates who are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
