Warehouse SupervisorThe Warehouse Supervisor oversees all warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, storing, and packing. They ensure company objectives are met in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, cost, and profitability. This is a weekend shift (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) from 5am to 5:30pm.Essential Functions:Directs and manages shipping and/or receiving orders, including loading trucks, inspecting materials or product, and reconciling advanced shipping notices and bills of materials to assure accuracyManages dock traffic and ensures that all logistics suppliers follow appropriate policies and proceduresMaintains month-to-month inventory of work-in-process product and finished goodsManages inventory of shipping materials and supplies, including stretch film, poly bags, shrinks, glue and any consumable materials neededDirects and participates in cycle counts and physical inventory processes as requiredCoordinates with key stakeholders to meet internal and external customer on-time-delivery demandsCollaborates with cross-functional leaders to support continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellenceMaintains adequate staffing levels to assure production requirements are metAccountable for departmental key performance metrics to ensure scorecard objectives are metProvides guidance on staffing, training, employee relations and performance management to develop and enhance the salaried and hourly shipping and receiving team, working closely with direct reportsMaintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publicationsThis position is a weekend shift (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) from 5am to 5:30pmEducation & Experience:Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 4 years of relevant experience requiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processesKnowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished productsAbility to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product componentsKnowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goodsKnowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycleKnowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facilityPhysical Requirements & Work Environment:Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting with time also spent in an office settingFrequent walking and standing requiredOccasional travel may be requiredOccasional lifting up to 25 lbs.The expected salary range for this position is $57,064 - $71,330 annually.
