Bilingual Call Center Representative

Location: Bellaire, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $20.21/hour (Based on experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking a Bilingual Call Center Representative (English/Spanish) to support a leading healthcare organization in Bellaire, Texas. This role is responsible for assisting members and providers with healthcare-related inquiries, resolving issues efficiently, and delivering exceptional customer service within a fast-paced health plan call center environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality support to patients and providers.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the Health Plan call center , ensuring timely and accurate responses to incoming calls
• Handle calls from members and providers seeking assistance with benefits, services, and account-related inquiries.
• Review internal systems to identify issues, conduct research, and collaborate with other departments to resolve concerns.
• Serve as a liaison and advocate for members and providers by ensuring questions and concerns are addressed appropriately.
• Gather relevant information and documentation to support decisions and recommendations for resolving issues
• Interact with callers in a professional, empathetic, and customer-focused manner
• Ensure HIPAA compliance by verifying caller identity before discussing Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Complete assigned work queue tasks and document all interactions accurately and timely in internal systems such as MACESS or EPIC , when applicable.
• Assist with real-time resource management and after-hours call center notifications when required
• Escalate complex issues or recurring concerns to leadership for resolution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
• 1+ year of customer service or call center experience , preferably within healthcare, insurance, or managed care environments.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and managed care processes preferred.
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with call center systems and desktop applications.
• Excellent phone etiquette, communication, and listening skills .
• Ability to multitask, identify problems, and resolve issues efficiently .
• Typing speed of 35 WPM or higher .
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
