Bilingual Call Center Representative
Location: Bellaire, TX
Pay Rate: Starting at $20.21/hour (Based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking a Bilingual Call Center Representative (English/Spanish) to support a leading healthcare organization in Bellaire, Texas. This role is responsible for assisting members and providers with healthcare-related inquiries, resolving issues efficiently, and delivering exceptional customer service within a fast-paced health plan call center environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality support to patients and providers.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the Health Plan call center , ensuring timely and accurate responses to incoming calls
- Handle calls from members and providers seeking assistance with benefits, services, and account-related inquiries.
- Review internal systems to identify issues, conduct research, and collaborate with other departments to resolve concerns.
- Serve as a liaison and advocate for members and providers by ensuring questions and concerns are addressed appropriately.
- Gather relevant information and documentation to support decisions and recommendations for resolving issues
- Interact with callers in a professional, empathetic, and customer-focused manner
- Ensure HIPAA compliance by verifying caller identity before discussing Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Complete assigned work queue tasks and document all interactions accurately and timely in internal systems such as MACESS or EPIC , when applicable.
- Assist with real-time resource management and after-hours call center notifications when required
- Escalate complex issues or recurring concerns to leadership for resolution.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
- 1+ year of customer service or call center experience , preferably within healthcare, insurance, or managed care environments.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and managed care processes preferred.
- Strong computer literacy and familiarity with call center systems and desktop applications.
- Excellent phone etiquette, communication, and listening skills .
- Ability to multitask, identify problems, and resolve issues efficiently .
- Typing speed of 35 WPM or higher .
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
