Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience License: Valid state or compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, additional certifications preferred Must-Have: - Open availability with no blocked scheduling - Ability to float between high-risk and Labor and Delivery areas - Experience with EPIC charting system - Ability to work every other weekend Description: This position requires a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience. The nurse will provide care for both high-risk and low-risk patients within the Labor and Delivery unit. Responsibilities include assisting with deliveries, monitoring patients, and providing postpartum care. Familiarity with EPIC for documentation is required. The nurse will be required to float between high-risk and Labor and Delivery units as needed. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The delivery unit has an average of 350-450 births per month, indicating a high volume of cases. Nurses will need to manage care for patients on various treatments such as magnesium drips and insulin drips. Overall, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in a range of labor and delivery nursing skills. The facility emphasizes safe and supportive environments for patients and staff.
