Job Description

The Center for Child Well-Being, housed within the Department of Psychiatry in the University of Missouri School of Medicine, seeks a Nurse Case Manager to support the Missouri Children's Health Integration, Learning and Development program (MO-Child).

The ideal candidate is interested in an innovative career aimed at increasing the well-being of children involved in child welfare, foster care and other related child systems across the State of Missouri.

This is a truly unique opportunity that allows for daily collaboration with an interdisciplinary team which includes a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologist, Pediatrician, and Psychiatric Pharmacist. This program addresses a multitude of physical and mental health issues and works collaboratively with the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children's Division.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Identify and obtain information needed by staff to assess each child's specific needs and services.
* Engage and build effective relationships with an emphasis on telephone and virtual communication skills.
* Enter, review, and update child case information in Redcap (a secure database system), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Provide relevant information regarding a child's specific issues or needs to the Department of Social Services (DSS) staff and contractors as identified by DSS in person, via phone, WebEx, or telehealth.
* Document all consultations, services, and relevant interactions accurately and promptly.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Missouri's child welfare and mental health systems.
* Identify and report trends, concerns, or systemic issues to Director.

Shift

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Behavioral or mental health care experience preferred. Psychiatric patient care experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge of RedCAP or database management is preferred but not required.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually
Grade: GGS - 010
