As a software engineer, you will work on a critical project for Google, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and the fast‑paced business grow and evolve. You will need to be versatile, demonstrate leadership, and be enthusiastic to tackle new problems across the full stack. Manage end‑to‑end modeling for the whole personalization flow, including retrieval, ranking, user understanding, and prediction for search notification. Work on state‑of‑the‑art modeling problems such as sequence‑based user understanding, real‑time training, and personalization with LLM empowerment. Responsibilities Write and test product or system development code. Innovate or adapt recommendation algorithms toward new applications and surfaces. Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback. Experiment with novel signals, labels, architectures, policies and training regimens. Design and implement recommendation systems models across different domains, leverage ML infrastructure, and contribute to architecture design.
