Hatch is seeking a dynamic Junior Structural Engineer. Reporting to the Project Delivery Group, you will support offices globally working from our Tampa, FL office location. Qualifications: Roles at this level are filled by recent or soon to be university/college graduates with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills Preferred bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited university Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale As the successful candidate, you will: Assist the Lead Structural Engineer in developing project scopes, engineering estimates, capital cost estimates and developing repair methodologies Apply Civil / Structural engineering principles to provide efficient, effective, economical and timely solutions to design problems in a multidiscipline project environment Directly apply and develop knowledge in structural steel,concreteand foundationdesign forbuilding and equipment supportstructures Design structures and components Gain valuable on-site practical experience You bring to the role: Knowledge of structural steel and concrete design Knowledge of using IBC, ACI and AISC code FE / E.I.T certification in hand and asset 3D analytical softwareexperiencesan asset Previous co-op or internship experience is an asset Competencies (knowledge, skill, attributes): Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving and brings forward solutions for our clients' toughest challenges Adapts and embraces change Requirements for all sectors: To live our manifesto.
